Sanpha B. Sesay

Born and raised in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Sanpha Sesay is a Social Work professional and collegiate graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work at the University of North Texas (UNT) in the United States. Currently residing in the state of Texas and having lived in the U.S for a large part of his Life. As the Executive Director of Mathoir Community Resources (MCR), a newly formed non-profit organization, Mr. Sesay founded this local community-owned organization with the hopes of promoting empathy and empowering the development of poor, sickly, incapable communicatees, through charitable actions, donations, and acts of public service. He possesses a background in public relations through prior his employment as a social worker in the Texas Department of family and protective service. In that capacity, as public relations officer, he also served the Association of Sierra Leonean Originations in Texas (ASLOT), various Sierra Leonean organizations through the Dallas Fort-Worth Area in Texas, and the Mathoir Descendants Union (MDU). He is also currently the vice chairman of the non-profit organization, the Tarekom Descendants Association TDA-International.

His deeds and public works are for the sake of supporting human welfare of various communities globally. He is also a writer, and regularly write articles and publications with the intent of raising awareness for humanitarian crises. He has worked in several disciplines, including Child Protective Services, as an investigator here in Texas.

After acquiring his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of North Texas, he began pursuing his master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) at the University of South Dakota, pending completion. Outside of philanthropy, he is also a father of six, with two biological sons and daughters, and one adopted son and daughter. His hobbies include listening to the news and watching sports on television.
